London countdown
In less than 6 hours, I will have to say Good-bye to 15 degrees Celsius, don an union jack in the form of a casual shirt and head to one of my dream cities. It will be my first travel to London and I happen to be a mixture of nerves and excitement.
I have a misstion to taste custard and mince pie, and see, beside all other sightseeings, the 221b Baker Str.
Any suggestions of yours?
Please feel invited to my trip.
I will keep you in the loop with pictures and news (whenever I find WiFi connection), so…
STAY TUNED.
Quote of the day: mission
We’re not born with unlimited choices. We cannot be anything we want to be. We come into this world with a specific, personal destiny. We have a job to do, a calling to enact, a self to become. We are who we are from the cradle, and we’re stuck with it. Our job in this lifetime is not to shape ourselves into some ideal we imagine we ought to be, but to find out who we already are and become it. If we were born to paint, it’s our job to become a painter. If we were born to raise and nurture children, it’s our job to become a mother. If we were born to overthrow the order of ignorance and injustice of the world, it’s our job to realize it and get down to business.
The War of Art by Steven Pressfield and Shawn Coyne
Quote of the day: pain
“Pain is your friend; it is your ally. Pain reminds you to finish the job and get the hell home. Pain tells you when you have been seriously wounded. And you know what the best thing about pain is? It tells you you’re not dead yet!” – G.I Jane

I like the moral 🙂
Idiom: backseat driver
Backseat driver = a bossy person who tells others what to do; a person who gives unwanted advice and direction.Usually rich people used to ride in the backseats of chauffeir – driven cars. The backseat passenger gave orders to the driver where to go,what road to take, how fast to drive.
“I can fix this computer myself, but she always tries to be a backseat driver.”

It is some kind of micro-management, I’d think. In either case, I don’t like it 🙂
